Job Duties
- Cook and bake excellent food and pastries in accordance with a planned menu
- prepare a report to validate daily transactions and confirm meal preparations
- be aware of the meal components and double-check to make sure nothing is missing
- store food in a precise and clean way to uphold its freshness and integrity
- offer food service to customers in adherence to meal schedules and departmental procedures
- ensure effective usage and upkeep of culinary implements, especially knives
- guarantee that a diverse selection of food and beverages are prepared promptly
- improve customer satisfaction by adding decorative garnishes that enhance the visual allure of dishes
- offer assistance in tidying up refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving tools
- stick to the prescribed food safety regulations, including maintaining cleanliness, following proper food handling techniques, and implementing effective storage measures
- abide by the prescribed uniform standards as stipulated by policy
- engage daily with the manager to interpret and prepare the daily menu accurately
- regulate the heat levels of food to uphold safety protocols
- maintain a neat and well-managed work area to promote cleanliness within the workspace
- implement proper sanitation methods to maintain cleanliness in work areas, including steam tables and equipment
- ensure cleanliness standards are met by performing sweeping, mopping, and washing wares
- keep garbage collection locations and kitchen floor spaces tidy and sanitary at all times
- execute additional tasks as assigned, potentially involving supporting various areas of the kitchen
