Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent preferred
  • valid food service certification
  • ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stand or walk continuously during shifts
  • adherence to dress code and use of personal protective equipment
  • capability to work efficiently under pressure
  • basic food handling knowledge
  • willingness to follow sanitation and safety policies
  • flexibility to perform various kitchen support duties

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certification
  • adequate education or training to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • ability to work under pressure with accuracy and speed
  • recommended high school diploma or equivalent
  • good communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety practices
  • experience in a kitchen or food service environment is beneficial

Job Duties

  • Cook and bake food and pastries according to planned menu
  • prepare reports to validate daily transactions and confirm meal preparations
  • double-check meal components for completeness
  • store food accurately to maintain freshness and integrity
  • offer food service to customers following meal schedules and departmental procedures
  • properly use and maintain culinary implements including knives
  • prepare diverse food and beverages promptly
  • add decorative garnishes to enhance dish presentation
  • assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen tools
  • adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation methods
  • comply with uniform standards
  • coordinate daily menu preparation with the manager
  • regulate food temperatures for safety compliance
  • maintain a clean and organized work area
  • perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing wares
  • keep garbage and kitchen floors tidy and sanitary
  • execute additional assigned tasks as needed
