Job Duties

  • Set up tables and banquet hall before the event
  • assist with food preparation before and during the event
  • serve appetizers and plated dinners to guests
  • deliver food from the kitchen to the banquet hall in a timely manner
  • serve and refill beverages
  • assist with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down
  • set up, clean, and organize work stations
  • prepare ingredients for the shift including washing vegetables, chopping, and seasoning meat
  • prepare oven, utensils, and grill for shift
  • take orders from wait staff or computerized system
  • cook orders according to food health and safety standards
  • recommend ideas for specials or seasonal dishes
  • handle multiple food orders at one time
  • monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive
  • store all food properly
  • reorder stock and food supplies
  • assist other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
