Job Description

Target Corporation is a leading American retailer recognized as a Fortune 50 company with a workforce exceeding 400,000 team members worldwide. Target is deeply committed to its communities, investing in the places where people live, work, and play, and prioritizing strong relationships with its teams. At the heart of Target's culture is a purpose-driven philosophy that emphasizes care, growth, and collective success as one unified team. The corporation offers a diverse range of employment opportunities and competitive pay scales, which vary based on factors such as labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.

The Food & Beverage Team at Target plays a crucial role in maintaining the freshness, quality, and food safety standards that guests expect. This team is responsible for ensuring that the products are replenished, accurately priced, and well-presented throughout the store. The Food & Beverage department not only focuses on merchandising and inventory management but also upholds strict food safety policies and promotes a guest-first culture. Team members have opportunities to grow their expertise in food and beverage business fundamentals, including managing department sales trends, inventory accuracy, guest shopping patterns, and pricing strategies.

The Food & Beverage Team Leader position is pivotal in leading and developing a team of hourly associates who support the store's food and beverage operations. Leaders in this role handle daily or weekly planning to meet sales goals, guide their team in executing food safety and quality standards, and foster positive relationships with vendors and brand partners like Starbucks and Pizza Hut where applicable. They manage inventory processes, ensure compliance with food safety and adult beverage laws, and cultivate an empowered, knowledgeable team through effective onboarding and training practices.

This role offers dynamic and varied daily responsibilities ranging from managing department workflows and monitoring business trends to supporting guest services like cash operations and order pickups. The leadership role requires a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, emphasizing ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Food & Beverage Team Leaders at Target enjoy comprehensive benefits including competitive pay within the range of $24.75 to $42.05 per hour, extensive health coverage options, 401(k), employee discounts, paid leave, and more, which underscore Target's dedication to investing in its team members' well-being and success.

Individuals considering this leadership opportunity will find a supportive and energetic work environment where delivering exceptional guest experiences is a top priority. The role demands flexibility in scheduling, willingness to work various shifts including nights and weekends, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented settings. Target provides robust training programs to build the skills necessary for success in this role while encouraging leadership development and career growth within the company's expansive retail operations.
