The Food & Beverage Team Leader role at Target is a dynamic position embedded within the Food & Beverage team that plays a vital role in providing an excellent guest experience through fresh products, accurate inventory, proper pricing, and appealing presentation on the sales floor. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations such as replenishment, food safety, promotional signage, and team performance to meet sales goals and maintain brand standards. As a Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will manage a team of hourly employees, develop talent through coaching and evaluation, and collaborate with vendors and district managers to ensure efficient store operation. The pay range for this role starts at $21.75 per hour and can go up to $37.00 per hour based on various factors including labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. The employment type is typically full-time with a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times, aligning with business and guest needs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
- Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
- Effective communication skills
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to work in environments ranging from 34°F to -10°F
- Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present
- Capability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity and elements while performing certain job duties
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily and weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement including merchandising, pricing, changes to salesfloor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
- Assess backroom and sales floor areas on a daily basis by walking the Target Food & Beverage Standards, prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team
- Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to these expectations
- Maintain a fresh, full and food safe area during all operating hours leveraging inventory management, routines and Food Safety policies
- Deliver the Food & Beverage Standards
- Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against assigned workload, production routines and best practices
- Work a schedule aligning to guest and business needs including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends
- Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic, ensuring alignment with priorities set by leaders
