Job Description

The Mission Pacific Hotel in North County San Diego is home to an exceptional rooftop dining venue known as The Rooftop Bar. As North County San Diego's first rooftop dining experience, The Rooftop Bar offers guests a stunning atmosphere with breathtaking views, complemented by a sophisticated menu and quality service. The Mission Pacific Hotel is committed to providing an outstanding hospitality experience, blending luxury accommodations with exquisite dining and entertainment options. The hotel attracts a dynamic clientele who seek both relaxation and exceptional service in a premier coastal setting. Joining this establishment means becoming part of a team that values excellence, innovation, and guest satisfaction.

The Rooftop Bar at the Mission Pacific Hotel is currently seeking a dedicated Food and Beverage Supervisor. This role is integral to the overall success and smooth operation of the food and beverage outlets, including both The Rooftop Bar and The Shore Room Lounge. As a supervisor, you will be at the forefront, leading a team by providing coaching, direction, and mentorship to ensure that service and product quality meet the highest standards. This leadership position requires strong communication skills, relationship-building, and the ability to support senior management in daily operational activities. Responsibilities may include training new staff, scheduling shifts, managing payroll, and conducting interviews. The Food and Beverage Supervisor acts as the vital link between culinary and restaurant operations, ensuring seamless communication and excellent service delivery.

In addition to leadership duties, this role demands a solid understanding of food and beverage knowledge, particularly in a fast-paced bar environment, including wine and beverage expertise. The Supervisor plays a significant role in upholding the outlet's reputation through consistent attention to quality control and service standards. Flexibility is also essential, as the position requires the ability to work across multiple venues, transitioning between The Rooftop Bar and The Shore Room Lounge as needed. The role offers an hourly wage of $23.00 and includes a competitive benefits package through Hyatt, the parent company of the Mission Pacific Hotel. This package includes unique offerings such as complimentary hotel nights, discounted rates, and comprehensive insurance options, making it an attractive employment opportunity for hospitality professionals dedicated to career growth and guest service excellence.
