Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage supervision or management
- must be able to obtain any required licenses or certifications
- proven ability to manage food service operations
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform cooking and cleaning tasks
- knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
- familiarity with budget management and cost control procedures
Job Qualifications
- food and beverage management experience required
- knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation
- must obtain all required government, company, and brand licenses and certifications
- firm knowledge of operating kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- ability to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold
Job Duties
- ensure maximum guest satisfaction while dining in the restaurant
- conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff daily
- supervise dining floor operations and manage scheduling within the department
- ensure kitchen, stewarding and cashier staff are on duty as scheduled
- cook in the kitchen as necessary
- coordinate all dining room functions during service
- monitor and critique food quality and consistency
- maintain special boards and accurate descriptions
- recognize repeat guests and familiarize with clients
- maintain restaurant cleanliness and physical atmosphere
- enforce uniform and grooming standards
- inspect tabletops, stations and tray stands
- ensure all equipment is clean and in good condition
- contribute to profitability through cost control
- perform administrative responsibilities
- utilize positive up-selling techniques
- implement sales promotions and merchandising
- assist cashier with beverage procedures and equipment
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- know and enforce emergency procedures and liquor liability laws
- review financial statements and participate in budgeting
- perform routine cleaning tasks to health and safety standards
