The Food & Beverage Supervisor role at Truckee Gaming is a pivotal position that operates under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Manager. This supervisory role primarily focuses on assisting in the daily management and oversight of restaurant operations to ensure that all service standards are met and that guest satisfaction is maximized. The supervisor is tasked with training and guiding front-line staff, providing direction, and assigning tasks to ensure seamless service delivery. They maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, specials, and restaurant promotions to assist staff and inform guests effectively.

This role requires the Food & Beverage Supervisor to address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, fostering a positive dining experience. They also act as a communication bridge between the front-of-house staff and management by relaying important issues related to employee relations, performance, safety, or facility concerns. Additional responsibilities include assisting with seating guests, clearing tables, ringing out guests, setting tables, and taking drink orders when necessary. The supervisor ensures the quality of ingredients, food preparation, presentation, and food temperatures to uphold Truckee Gaming’s quality standards.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization at server stations and supporting sanitation standards in all front-of-house areas are key duties of this role. Furthermore, the Food & Beverage Supervisor aids the Food and Beverage Manager in resolving employee disputes and participates in scheduling, using software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to create efficient shift plans. They review guest comment cards and proactively report feedback to management to drive continuous improvement.

This position also requires flexibility by providing coverage for front-of-house staff in the event of absences and performing additional duties as assigned by management. Overall, the Food & Beverage Supervisor plays an integral role in guaranteeing smooth restaurant operations and delivering excellent customer service consistently. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess and maintain the following certifications: Nevada Gaming Registration
  • TAM Card
  • Southern Nevada Food Handler Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
