Job Description

Midtown Athletic Club is a premier fitness and recreational facility located in Rochester, NY. We are currently seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team and help operate our restaurant and cafe counter service within the club. This role is integral to delivering a superior guest experience by managing daily food and beverage operations efficiently and effectively. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the restaurant and cafe service areas, ensuring service excellence, and maintaining high-quality standards for food and beverage offerings.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor position requires a dynamic individual who can lead by example and foster a collaborative environment among staff. You will work closely with team members to provide outstanding customer service, manage inventory and ordering processes, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining ServSafe level 1 manager certification. This role also values experience in managing coffee and smoothie programs, where attention to detail and a passion for product quality are essential. The ability to multitask, delegate responsibilities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this role.

Compensation for this position ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience. The employment type includes working a flexible schedule, which encompasses evenings and weekends. This flexibility is key as our club operates throughout the day to accommodate the varied schedules of our members. Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role
  • 1-2 years managing a coffee/smoothie program preferred
  • experience in food and beverage operations
  • proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • ServSafe Level 1 manager certification
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
