The Courtyard Seattle Kirkland location offers an exciting opportunity for a Food and Beverage Supervisor, a role essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. This position greatly contributes to guest satisfaction by ensuring the quality of food and service meets the highest standards. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the food and beverage team to create memorable dining moments for guests, enabling them to stay productive and healthy during their travels. Your role will involve coaching and mentoring staff, maintaining food safety standards, overseeing inventory and ordering, and ensuring that guests receive attentive and efficient service.
This role requires a passionate individual who enjoys interacting with guests and possesses strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues promptly and to guests' satisfaction. Collaboration across hotel departments is critical, as is a keen eye for quality control in food handling and presentation. The position demands physical stamina to stand and move throughout shifts and requires the ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Additionally, the supervisor must hold or be able to obtain both a Food Handler’s Permit and an Alcohol Server’s Permit. This full-time role involves working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet guest needs consistently.

Job Requirements
- Previous food handling, server or lead server experience
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server’s Permit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, type and use basic technology
- Physical ability to stand and move during shift
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

Job Duties
- Assist with training, coaching, mentoring and scheduling
- Support employees in the restaurant and room service to ensure guests are receiving attentive and efficient service
- Proactively engage in conversation with guests, seeking feedback about their stay and their dining experience
- Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues or complaints to their satisfaction
- Monitor all food and beverage deliveries for portion control, quality and presentation
- Ensure that food handling and safety guidelines are followed, including kitchen logs
- Monitor key control and cash control procedures to ensure standards of operating are met
- Oversee inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items
- Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
