The role of Food & Beverage Area Manager at Six Flags is an integral leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple food and beverage units within a designated area of the park. This position requires a strong skill set in managing operations, people, and resources to achieve high standards of service and profitability. The manager will be directly responsible for analyzing key elements of success such as service delivery, production efficiency, labor management, and revenue generation. They will lead and motivate a sizable team ranging from 50 to 100 employees, through recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
A critical component of the role includes ensuring adherence to standardized recipes, known as "Picture Perfect" recipes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all units to maintain consistency and quality. The manager will monitor trends in attendance, revenue, and cost of sales, leveraging this data to make informed decisions that optimize unit operations. Inventory management is essential, requiring diligent recording of stock, spoilage, and transfers using the EATEC system while minimizing variances.
Additionally, the role demands a commitment to upholding all departmental, park, company, and public health standards. The manager will be responsible for delivering additional training and corrective actions fairly and promptly when standards are not met. Other leadership functions include conducting timely performance evaluations and developing action plans to enhance the skills and capabilities of the leadership team. The successful candidate will embody a strong work ethic aligned with Six Flags’ mantra, vision, and goals and must share a passion for delicious food and outstanding guest service. Job Qualifications
- must be 18 years or older
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- complete and maintain Food Handlers Certificate and other required leadership training
- basic computer literacy
- basic knowledge of operating and troubleshooting various food equipment
- excellent verbal communication skills

Job Duties
- manage the operations of multiple food and beverage units by analyzing service, production, labor and revenue
- manage a team of 50 to 100 members including hiring, motivating and posting schedules
- create and uphold "Picture Perfect" recipes for menu items and standard operating procedures
- analyze trends of attendance, revenue and cost of sales to manage unit operations
- input inventory, spoilage and transfers in EATEC and keep variances to a minimum
- uphold standards and guidelines set by department, park, company and public health and implement additional training and corrective action as needed
- conduct timely performance evaluations and create action plans for development for leadership team
- demonstrate strong work ethic and commitment to company mantra, vision and goals
- have a passion for delicious food and providing great guest service
