The position of Sales & Marketing Associate at the JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America is a full-time, non-management role with an hourly pay range of $19.74 to $20.35, inclusive of tips. This pivotal role supports the sales process by preparing critical documents such as proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders, essential to securing and maintaining customer relationships and driving revenue. The Sales & Marketing Associate plays an integral part in promoting Marriott's brand image, both internally within the company and externally to clients and guests. They are responsible for assembling and distributing marketing materials, promotional brochures, and information packages that aid in enhancing brand visibility.

In addition to supporting the sales process, the associate employs effective sales techniques designed to maximize revenue streams while fostering guest loyalty to the Marriott brand. This position involves close collaboration with the management team to develop and execute revenue and marketing programs across all outlets and room service. The role also extends into digital marketing, requiring coordination and implementation of social media initiatives that promote beverage and other hospitality offerings to a broader audience.

Operationally, the Sales & Marketing Associate manages data related to commissions, leads, and third-party interactions through specialized sales software, ensuring accuracy and timely updates. The associate is also the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries via phone and email, confirming reservations for special events, and coordinating food and beverage sales within hospitality suites through the Room Service Department. Alongside sales duties, the role includes general office support such as filing, typing, faxing, and email communications to streamline operational efficiency.
