The full-time Food and Beverage (F&B) Management position at Seattle Marriott Waterfront offers an hourly pay range between $30.29 and $39.42 with bonus eligibility, reflecting the importance of leadership within this essential department. The manager also coordinates cleaning programs, manages equipment operation, supports monthly inspections, and addresses employee needs proactively to surpass expectations. The manager is expected to act as a role model, responding promptly to guest concerns, providing personalized coaching to team members, and continuously enhancing service quality. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related field
- OR two-year degree in relevant major and two years of experience
- Ability to supervise daily food and beverage operations
- Experience managing budgets and operational standards
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to develop staff and foster a collaborative work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related professional area
- OR a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Ability to develop and execute operational plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and motivate employees
Job Duties
- Supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and monitors compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures
- Manages day-to-day operations verifying that quality, standards, and customer expectations are met
- Maintains the operating budget and verifies legal obligations are followed
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms
- Coordinates cleaning program in all food and beverage areas, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
- Provides exceptional customer service, responding proactively to guest concerns and setting a positive example
