Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years of leadership experience in hotel food and beverage
  • Strong knowledge of beverage service
  • Ability to work full availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Prior experience working with unionized teams a plus
  • Willingness to work various shifts including AM, MID, and PM

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel food and beverage management experience
  • Leadership experience of at least 1-2 years
  • Strong beverage knowledge
  • Prior union experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to supervise and develop a large team
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Marketing and promotional experience

Job Duties

  • Manage all outlet operations including guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, profitability, marketing initiatives, system use, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy implementation and enforcement, meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, professional development, counselling, evaluations, recognition and rewards
  • Assess product and service satisfaction trends, evaluate issues and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Initiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote food and beverage services and maximize revenue
  • Maintain team member knowledge of outlet offerings, products, services, facilities, events, pricing, policies, and local area events
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members
