Job Description

With a distinguished legacy of owning and managing award-winning campgrounds, Kampgrounds Enterprises is dedicated to becoming one of the premier campground operators in the United States. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service while offering families memorable opportunities to gather and create treasured moments around the campfire. Known for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction, Kampgrounds Enterprises combines tradition with innovation to provide an outstanding camping experience that is both welcoming and well-organized.

One of the notable properties managed by Kampgrounds Enterprises is The Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort. Nestled in the scenic beauty of Southern California amid groves of oak trees, this campground is a year-round outdoor destination. Guests enjoy camping experiences close to the Temecula wine country, Vail Lake, and miles of trails for mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. The property boasts over 400 RV sites and 26 accommodation units, with ongoing renovations to enhance guest amenities and services. The staff at Temecula KOA is dedicated to creating a superior camping environment through excellent customer service, outstanding amenities, and activities designed to foster lasting memories.

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join the team at Temecula KOA at Vail Lake Resort. This full-time position offers an hourly wage starting at $25, depending on experience, with a work schedule that includes a minimum of one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). The daily working hours can range between 7 AM and 11 PM to align with the operational needs of the department. This role requires a flexible schedule with overlapping time periods alongside the General Manager to ensure smooth communication and operational coordination.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will play a vital role in the successful management of the café-style food service kitchen and bar operations. Responsibilities include planning and preparing seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus and creating weekly food and beverage specials. The supervisor will maintain strict adherence to state health codes and ensure all staff comply with food preparation, cooking, and serving standards. Additionally, the role involves managing supply orders, inventory control, and establishing partnerships with third-party vendors. The ideal candidate will also be deeply involved in planning and executing events that target increased occupancy, contributing to the campground's overall success.

Beyond overseeing daily food service and bar operations, the Food and Beverage Supervisor is a leadership role that involves recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of department staff. Ensuring staff receive proper certification such as TIPS or Food Handler's training is a key responsibility. The supervisor assists with employee performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and shift coverage as needed. Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and customer service excellence are essential in managing staff and guest interactions effectively. The position also demands involvement in weekly department meetings and coordination with senior leadership for annual planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in one of Southern California's most beautiful outdoor resort settings while contributing to a respected family business dedicated to quality outdoor hospitality. If you have experience in tourism, customer service, or hospitality leadership, and are ready to take charge of a dynamic food and beverage operation with a focus on great guest experiences and staff development, we encourage you to apply.
