Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel
  • at least 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 1 year related experience or a 2-year college degree with 2 or more years related experience
  • knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
  • knowledge of health department rules and regulations
  • knowledge of liquor laws and regulations

Job Duties

  • be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
  • oversee daily operation of the outlet
  • supervise outlet personnel
  • respond to guest complaints timely
  • communicate with other food and beverage managers
  • keep supervisor informed of issues
  • assist in loss prevention coordination
  • prepare and submit reports
  • ensure preparation of wage progress, payroll, revenue, schedules, action plans
  • monitor service quality
  • assist in menu planning
  • ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • ensure compliance with SOPs
  • ensure compliance with requisition procedures
  • be visible and assist staff during meal periods
  • conduct staff performance reviews
  • implement corporate promotions
  • train employees on SOPs and job tasks
  • conduct departmental and hotel training
  • interview front-of-house candidates
  • complete tip reporting
  • ensure guest satisfaction
  • oversee private events
  • oversee in-room dining quality
  • hold outlet personnel accountable
