Job Qualifications
- 2 years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel
- at least 3 years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or a 4-year college degree with 1 year related experience or a 2-year college degree with 2 or more years related experience
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- knowledge of health department rules and regulations
- knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
Job Duties
- be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and employees
- oversee daily operation of the outlet
- supervise outlet personnel
- respond to guest complaints timely
- communicate with other food and beverage managers
- keep supervisor informed of issues
- assist in loss prevention coordination
- prepare and submit reports
- ensure preparation of wage progress, payroll, revenue, schedules, action plans
- monitor service quality
- assist in menu planning
- ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
- ensure compliance with SOPs
- ensure compliance with requisition procedures
- be visible and assist staff during meal periods
- conduct staff performance reviews
- implement corporate promotions
- train employees on SOPs and job tasks
- conduct departmental and hotel training
- interview front-of-house candidates
- complete tip reporting
- ensure guest satisfaction
- oversee private events
- oversee in-room dining quality
- hold outlet personnel accountable
