Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel
  • At least three years of progressive experience in hotel or related field or college degree as specified
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health and liquor regulations
  • Ability to work long hours and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to adapt schedules based on operational needs
  • Capacity to exert medium physical effort (lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understand, and address employee and guest concerns
  • Proficiency in multitasking and priority management
  • Commitment to maintaining personal grooming and appearance standards
  • Attendance at all required meetings and trainings
  • Compliance with company safety and operational regulations
  • Capability to maintain confidentiality
  • Warm and friendly demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of food and beverage management experience in a luxury hotel
  • At least three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a four-year college degree with one year of related experience, or a two-year college degree with two or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws and regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Experience in staff training and performance evaluation
  • Ability to handle complex operational issues effectively

Job Duties

  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to guests, managers and fellow employees
  • Oversee all aspects of the daily food and beverage outlet operations
  • Supervise outlet personnel and conduct performance reviews
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints
  • Collaborate with other food and beverage managers and keep supervisors informed of operational issues
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring loss prevention
  • Prepare and submit operational reports including wage progress, payroll and revenue reports
  • Monitor and ensure quality of service and compliance with health and liquor laws
  • Assist in menu planning and preparation
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and requisition procedures
  • Be present on the floor to assist staff during meal periods
  • Implement corporate promotions and standards
  • Train employees on SOPs and technical job tasks
  • Conduct departmental and hotel training sessions
  • Interview and hire front-of-house staff
  • Complete tip reporting
  • Oversee private events and in-room dining quality
  • Hold outlet personnel accountable
  • Maintain overall guest satisfaction
