The role of Manager, Food & Beverage at Yaamava Resort & Casino is a key leadership position with responsibility for overseeing the operations and profitability of assigned venues, including all bars and restaurants within the resort. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Food & Beverage, this position requires strategic oversight of service teams, financial management, inventory control, staffing, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The Manager, Food & Beverage plays a critical role in ensuring that the venues meet the high standards expected of an upscale resort and hospitality experience by consistently delivering quality customer service and maintaining brand standards.
In this role, the Manager is accountable for the efficient management of front-of-house team members, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation to build and maintain well-functioning teams. The Manager must implement effective training programs to uphold service quality standards, foster high team morale, and serve as an exemplary leader by demonstrating professionalism and dedication. They are also responsible for budgeting and financial planning, including managing revenue, food costs, expenses, and labor to achieve enterprise objectives and maximize profitability.
Inventory management is a key component of the role, requiring accurate control of supplies such as china, glassware, and cutlery to minimize waste and ensure operational readiness. Additionally, the Manager collaborates closely with culinary leadership to manage food costs and menu attractiveness, ensuring that both food and beverage presentation align with the resort's branding and guest satisfaction goals.
Maintaining compliance with sanitation and cleanliness codes, managing equipment maintenance and repair, and reacting proactively to operational issues are essential duties of this role. The Manager must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage a fast-paced environment and navigate daily challenges, while providing exceptional guest experiences. This role requires flexibility, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed.
Candidates for this position should have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Bar experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and possess certifications such as Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and ServSafe. The San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission may require the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business or related field
- Minimum of three years restaurant or related hospitality experience
- Minimum three years supervisory experience
- Bar experience strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively
- Must possess valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service certification
- Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform sedentary work including computer operation
- Must present a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with legal regulations
