Job Description
HHM Hotels is a distinguished hospitality company renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across its portfolio of hotels and restaurants. HHM embodies a culture where people are the greatest capability, emphasizing hearts that serve, only excellence, agility, and ownership. The company prioritizes sustainability through its EarthView program and maintains high operational and service standards in all its properties. As an employer, HHM Hotels offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and leadership development within the hospitality industry.
The role of Food and Beverage Manager at HHM Hotels is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the operations of the food and beverage department. This position entails effectively managing staff and operations to ensure the delivery of superior food and beverage menu items and services that create memorable guest experiences. The manager takes full ownership of financial aspects related to the department while fostering a work environment that reflects the company’s core values. This role offers a clear career advancement path, with the next step being Food and Beverage Director.
In this role, the Food and Beverage Manager will interview, select, train, and schedule associates, ensuring that their performance aligns with established brand or hotel standards and the core values of HHM. Part of the responsibilities includes monitoring product quality and guest satisfaction to ensure consistency in food quality, visual appeal, and recipe adherence. The manager will also oversee sanitation and safety standards, making sure all equipment is functional and the restaurant ambience is attractive to guests.
Customer relationship management is key in this role, requiring proficiency in handling internal and external guests with patience, tact, and diplomacy. The manager will actively participate in marketing efforts, interact with guests to gather feedback on service quality, and ensure compliance with alcohol serving regulations. Another critical aspect is inventory management, forecasting supply usage to maintain adequate stocking of necessary items such as glassware, condiments, and linens.
Additionally, the manager is expected to model safety practices in line with MSDS and OSHA standards and participate in HHM’s sustainability initiatives. The position requires physical stamina, as the job involves moving throughout the restaurant and kitchen, including tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds and engaging in bending and kneeling activities. Flexibility in work schedule is necessary, with shifts that may include holidays and weekends.
This challenging yet rewarding opportunity is ideal for experienced restaurant management professionals who are looking to advance their careers in a fast-paced, guest-centered hospitality setting committed to excellence, sustainability, and employee growth.
