The Food & Beverage Manager position at Storey Lake Club is an exciting leadership opportunity within the club's dining and beverage operations. This role demands a passionate hospitality professional who excels in team leadership, operational management, and guest satisfaction. The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for overseeing all facets of food and beverage services, ensuring that member and guest experiences surpass expectations. The position involves managing daily operations such as personnel training, menu planning, inventory control, vendor relations, and catering functions. Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards are vital in this role. The manager will also play a key role in implementing best practices, utilizing inventory management software, and fostering strong partnerships with preferred suppliers.

In this role, approximately 51% of the manager's time will be devoted to supervisory duties that include walking the dining area to engage with guests, maintaining communication with key department leaders, and inspecting the facility to guarantee a high standard of maintenance and equipment operation. The Food & Beverage Manager will be directly involved in staff recruitment, training programs, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution, ensuring that the food and beverage team is motivated and well-equipped to deliver excellent service. This position is ideal for a proactive, organized individual who values teamwork and is committed to the club's mission of providing an outstanding hospitality experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, talk or hear
  • Ability to occasionally sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Ability to regularly taste or smell
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Ability to occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Food safety and sanitation training
  • Alcohol awareness training

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage daily functions of food and beverage operations including member and guest satisfaction
  • Supervise inventory and maintain par levels
  • Walk dining room floor to ensure quality service
  • Communicate regularly with department leaders to meet operational goals
  • Inspect facilities for maintenance and cleanliness needs
  • Oversee equipment functionality including beverage carts
  • Complete production reports and control supply distribution
  • Administer menu design, pricing, ordering, and inventory control
  • Maintain sanitation standards consistently
  • Coordinate menu planning with Executive Chef
  • Develop relationships with Troon preferred suppliers
  • Interview, hire, train, and manage staff including Assistant Managers and Servers
  • Develop ongoing training programs
  • Monitor business volume and plan manpower and cost accordingly
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
