The Food and Beverage Manager position is a critical role within the organization, tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department to ensure optimal performance and member satisfaction.
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for facilitating and planning all activities associated with the food and beverage department, including the management of service and breakdown for events while adhering to established protocols. This leadership role requires the supervision of a diverse team including supervisors, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff, ensuring they are motivated and well-trained to deliver outstanding service. Acting as a key liaison between the kitchen, service staff, and members, the manager plays an integral role in maintaining quality control processes, managing inventory and labor costs, and working towards budgetary and profitability goals. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for customer service, making it essential for the candidate to be proactive and innovative in improving operational efficiency and member loyalty.
In addition to day-to-day management, the Food and Beverage Manager develops and executes customer loyalty and retention programs and coordinates large-scale events such as banquets and catering services with precise attention to detail and personalized member engagement. The manager ensures all activities comply with health regulations and continuously seeks opportunities to enhance service quality by responding to feedback and implementing progressive business strategies.
This full-time role demands flexibility, including availability for emergency and scheduled work during evenings, weekends, or holidays. Job Requirements
- Strong people-orientated skills verbal skills and written communication skills to effectively deal with people at different organizational levels both inside and outside the organization
- well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives
- must possess the ability to seek out new methods and innovative ideas and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices
- advanced computer skills Microsoft Office and knowledge of club management software is essential
- must have strong editing skills
- must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings weekends or holidays
- 2-3 years of management experience
- American Red Cross and AED certification preferred or willing to take course
- must have ServSafe certification or Mobile County Food and Beverage Handler card or certificate
- must be able to lift up to 25 lbs with or without accommodation
- must be able to climb stairs

Job Duties
- Oversees daily food and beverage operations ensuring high-quality products and services
- works closely with other assistants in a fast-paced team environment as well as suggest specific changes that generate cost savings and increase member quality standards
- follows business strategies and work to reach relevant company objectives including budgeted revenues
- ensures that all staff members follow strict health department regulations and creates detailed notes for their superiors to request specific items or change products
- manages inventory labor costs and budgets to achieve revenue and profitability goals
- implements and maintains quality control processes to ensure consistency and excellence
- ensures exceptional customer service responding to member feedback and concerns
- develops and implements customer loyalty and retention programs
- coordinates and executes successful events banquets and catering services
- works closely with members and clients to customize events and exceed expectations
- follows CCM mission and values including providing the best quality service possible
- other duties as assigned
