  • Completion of 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent skills
  • Sound understanding of food service industry principles
  • Proficient in supervising staff and resolving kitchen issues
  • Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Organize staff and culinary operations competently
  • Oversee and coordinate culinary operations, managing and training kitchen personnel
  • Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth operations and maintain quality standards
  • Craft menus and develop recipes
  • Determine food consumption needs for accurate procurement
  • Improve dish concepts and harmonize production processes for quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and plan menu pricing
  • Maintain kitchen equipment for efficiency
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by following safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage special catering events and provide culinary instruction
  • Guide and train junior culinary staff
