Renaissance Club Sport, located in Aliso Viejo, CA, is a premier hotel property operated by an independent franchisee, L&O Aliso Viejo, doing business as Renaissance Club Sport Alis. As part of the vibrant hospitality industry, Renaissance Club Sport offers a dynamic environment focused on delivering superior guest experiences. This independent franchise operates separately from Marriott International, with its own management policies, including hiring, compensation, benefits, and employment practices, ensuring a personalized approach to their team and guests. The hotel prides itself on providing high-quality services with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, modern amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the local culture and environment. Renaissance Club Sport is dedicated to both guest excellence and employee development, fostering a collaborative work setting that encourages growth and achievement. The property’s commitment to operational excellence and guest service is supported by a team-oriented culture and opportunities for professional advancement within the hospitality sector.
The Food & Beverage Manager position at Renaissance Club Sport is a key leadership role offering a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year plus bonuses and full benefits including health, dental, vision coverage, 401K, Marriott travel perks, paid holidays, and paid time off. This full-time role (40 hours per week) entails comprehensive responsibility for all food and beverage (F&B) operations across the hotel’s restaurants, bars, market, and seasonal poolside service areas. The Food & Beverage Manager is instrumental in creating exceptional dining and service experiences for guests while driving the financial success of the F&B outlets. This role works closely with the Vice President and General Manager to ensure every aspect of the food and beverage service meets quality, safety, and service standards.
In this position, the Food & Beverage Manager will lead hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and supervising a diverse team that includes bartenders, servers, server assistants, greeters, baristas, and seasonal employees. A strong emphasis is placed on developing a motivated, service-oriented team committed to excellence. The manager is expected to maintain a visible leadership presence during peak service times, conduct daily pre-shift meetings, monitor guest satisfaction levels, address any concerns regarding service or food quality promptly, and cultivate ongoing customer feedback. Operational responsibilities also include managing purchasing, receiving, and inventory control for food, beverages, and related supplies while ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment maintenance standards are rigorously upheld.
Financial acumen is crucial for this role, as the Food & Beverage Manager must control labor costs, optimize expenses, and contribute to the overall F&B profit and loss performance in alignment with budget goals. In addition to daily operational tasks, the manager assists with marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and revenue-generating programs that support business growth. Staying informed on local competition and evolving industry trends is essential to maintaining the hotel’s competitive edge. This role also welcomes opportunities to take on additional projects as directed by the VP/GM, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work environment for the entire F&B team. Renaissance Club Sport values diversity and inclusivity and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all qualified candidates regardless of race, religion, gender, or other protected statuses.
