The Food and Beverage Manager role at Montage Healdsburg is an exciting leadership opportunity for individuals passionate about elevating food and beverage operations in a luxury hospitality environment. This position involves providing both strategic and operational leadership across multiple food and beverage outlets, including room service, restaurants, banquet services, poolside areas, kitchens, stewarding, and retail operations. The manager is responsible for driving hotel profitability through innovative revenue generation strategies, effective cost control, superior guest satisfaction, and high associate engagement. This leadership role requires interaction with guests and other hotel departments to promote facility offerings, resolve concerns thoughtfully, and ensure seamless service delivery. The Food and Beverage Manager leads by example, supporting the culinary and service teams to uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service excellence.

Montage Healdsburg seeks a dynamic individual with a keen ability to lead, develop, and mentor key leadership personnel within the food and beverage division. The ideal candidate must exercise sound personnel discretion, manage conflict resolution, enforce discipline, and maintain compliance with employment laws and safety regulations. Additionally, this role demands active oversight of payroll and equipment costs, adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and the creation and maintenance of effective staffing schedules. The manager will proactively seek ways to maximize profitability without compromising the guest experience and deliver 'WOW' moments that resonate with guests and create lifelong memories.

Successful candidates bring at least one year of supervisory or management experience in food and beverage, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a high proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with hospitality technology systems and comprehensive knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages are essential. A flexible approach to scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays, is required. Experience in luxury hotel settings is considered a significant advantage.

Montage Healdsburg offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, exclusive of incentives such as commissions and gratuities. Physical demands of the position include the ability to stand or move for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and maneuver food service equipment weighing up to 200 pounds. Job Duties

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, guidance, direction, and tactical expertise on food and beverage concepts
  • Drive hotel profitability through revenue generation in various food and beverage outlets including room service, restaurants, banquets, pool, kitchens, stewarding, retail, cost control, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement
  • Interact positively with guests promoting hotel facilities and services
  • Resolve opportunities to the satisfaction of involved parties
  • Maintain communication with all departments to ensure guest service needs are met
  • Move throughout the facility to support overall hotel and kitchen areas to ensure food quality and service standards are met
  • Responsible for the selection, training, and development of key leadership personnel within the division
  • Able to exercise personnel action discretion within hotel policies
  • Provide conflict resolution and ensure disciplinary and termination procedures are followed
  • Promptly address all operational issues with management and staff
  • Oversee divisional matters related to employment and civil rights laws
  • Control payroll and equipment costs minimizing loss and misuse
  • Ensure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules ensuring appropriate coverage
  • Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality
  • Maintain high standards of service excellence, food quality, and presentation
  • Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
