The Food and Beverage Director role at Marriott International is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations across culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service departments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR associate degree from an accredited institution in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Minimum 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial objectives
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and ensure service standards
  • Proficiency in coaching and mentoring employees

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience
  • OR associate degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and related laws
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and business plans
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and employee development

Job Duties

  • Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for food and beverage departments
  • Maintain positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations
  • Supervise and manage all day-to-day food and beverage operations including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service
  • Lead, influence, and motivate the food and beverage team by demonstrating integrity and sound business decision-making
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond proactively to guest and employee concerns
  • Develop and implement training, coaching, and mentoring programs for team members
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food and beverage laws, regulations, and corporate procedures
