Job Description
Wawa, Inc. is a renowned convenience store chain and quick-service restaurant operator that is recognized for its commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and innovative food and beverage solutions. Established as a family-owned business, Wawa has grown to operate hundreds of locations throughout the United States, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region. The company prides itself on providing fresh food, premium beverages, and excellent customer service, creating a unique experience for its customers. Known for its highly trained associates, clean and inviting stores, and a strong culture of teamwork and respect, Wawa invests heavily in the development and well-being of its workforce.
As a Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa, you will play a vital leadership role overseeing all food and beverage operations within the store. Your principal responsibility is to ensure that food and beverage programs — including fresh food offerings, grab-and-go meals, beverages, and catering — are executed efficiently and consistently to the highest standards. Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the FBM is integral to sustaining a customer-focused environment where quality and service excellence remain front and center every day.
In this dynamic position, you will manage sales performance targets with a keen eye for quality and consistency, developing action plans based on market trends and peer collaboration to continually optimize results. You will serve as the in-store expert on all food programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives, ensuring that the store capitalizes on current campaigns and strategies to drive customer engagement and sales.
The role also involves a significant emphasis on training and mentoring customer service associates, driving their proficiency and motivation to deliver outstanding service that enhances the overall customer experience. Supporting the key functions of hiring, scheduling, training, and team development, you will help build a cohesive team, recognize exceptional performance, and foster growth among associates. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment will be crucial to ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations in the food service area, which must consistently meet rigorous health and safety standards.
Wawa offers competitive compensation for this full-time role, with an hourly wage range of $22.70 to $28.40, commensurate with experience and location, paired with eligibility for monthly bonus incentives. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leadership responsibilities, and is passionate about delivering exceptional food and beverage offerings. Wawa is committed to providing reasonable accommodations during the application process, promoting equity, and maintaining a discrimination-free workplace in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
