The Food & Beverage Manager role at Tatnuck is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all front-of-house dining operations, including a la carte service, banquet functions, and special club events. This manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall dining experience by ensuring exceptional service delivery, seamless operational execution, and active engagement with members. In this role, the Food & Beverage Manager leads a dedicated team responsible for maintaining service excellence in an upscale environment. Key duties include supervising and developing front-of-house and bar staff, enforcing service standards, managing reservations and point-of-sale systems, and coordinating closely with culinary and clubhouse leadership to plan and execute member-focused social events and celebrations. Financial management responsibilities such as budgeting, inventory control, revenue management, and financial reporting are also integral to the position.
The ideal candidate for this role is a hospitality professional with at least two years of experience in food and beverage management or a similar supervisory role within a high-end service setting, preferably a private club. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a thorough knowledge of upscale dining service standards, including wine and spirits. Job Requirements
- Physically able to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to member service, teamwork, and confidentiality
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- experience in managing FOH and bar staff
- experience with reservations and POS systems
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred, but not required
- 2+ years of experience in food and beverage or a similar supervisory role in a high-end service environment
- private club experience preferred
- ServSafe and alcohol service certifications preferred
- strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- knowledge of wine, spirits, and upscale dining service standards
- exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- working knowledge of financial controls, budgeting, inventory management, and POS systems
Job Duties
- Oversee daily front-of-house dining and beverage operations to ensure exceptional member service
- train, schedule, supervise, and develop FOH and bar staff while enforcing service standards and appearance policies
- create, maintain, and enforce Front-of-House SOPs
- lead daily pre-shift meetings and ensure policy compliance
- coordinate communication between front- and back-of-house teams for seamless service execution
- partner with clubhouse and culinary leadership on club events and private functions
- manage reservations, POS systems, revenue controls, and accurate financial reporting
