The Food and Beverage Manager role at Proper Hospitality is a vital leadership position overseeing the seamless operation of multiple dining venues including restaurants, bars, banquet services, and room service. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in food and beverage management
  • Previous leadership role managing large teams in high-volume operations
  • Proven experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends and health and safety regulations
  • ServSafe, RBS, or TIPS certification
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to perform physical tasks including bending and reaching

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Over 5 years of experience in food and beverage management within hospitality or hotel industry
  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams in high-volume operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry best practices, and health and safety regulations
  • Certifications such as ServSafe, RBS, and/or TIPS
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and make data-driven decisions

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service
  • Ensure all F&B services meet hotel standards and guest expectations
  • Monitor food and beverage processes, workflows, and staffing for efficiency and service excellence
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and timely
  • Lead, train, and manage food and beverage staff including servers, bartenders, cooks, and supervisors
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff knowledge and service quality
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching for development
  • Create staffing schedules ensuring coverage during peak times and special events
  • Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative, profitable, and sustainable menus
  • Monitor food and beverage costs and implement cost control strategies
  • Manage ordering and inventory of supplies, ingredients, and beverages
  • Assist in preparing annual food and beverage budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor and analyze financial reports to optimize operations and pricing strategies
  • Ensure health and safety compliance including food safety and sanitation standards
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Oversee inventory control and coordinate supplier deliveries
  • Support sales and marketing efforts for F&B outlets and promotional campaigns
