Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, operating in 15 countries and proudly serving millions of guests daily. Rooted in service and united by purpose, Aramark is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, equitable work environment where every employee has the opportunity to grow and thrive. The company embraces diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This inclusive culture strengthens Aramark's ability to deliver outstanding services to its clients and communities worldwide.

The Food and Beverage Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position within the culinary team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This role demands a hands-on approach to managing and coordinating all kitchen operations, ensuring that efficiency and productivity are optimized through well-designed procedures. The manager will oversee staff organization, training, and development, fostering a collaborative team environment that drives exceptional culinary standards. As a key player in the daily operation of food services, the Food and Beverage Manager balances operational demands with a commitment to outstanding customer service and quality food experiences.

A critical aspect of this position is the management of culinary operations, which involves supervising daily kitchen activities to maintain high standards of food quality and safety. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for crafting menus and developing recipes that align with the company’s goals, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. This role also includes strategic planning in food purchasing, making sure requisition volumes match expected consumption to minimize waste and optimize costs.

Safety and maintenance are also integral components of this job. The manager guarantees a hygienic and safe kitchen environment by enforcing compliance with sanitation and safety regulations. Regular maintenance of kitchen equipment is conducted to maintain operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Additionally, the Food and Beverage Manager manages special events such as catering, providing culinary instruction and support to less experienced team members to help them grow professionally.

The ideal candidate will bring 2-3 years of experience in culinary positions, complemented by 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent practical skills. While a formal culinary degree is beneficial, it is not mandatory, allowing for candidates with varied backgrounds and experiences to apply. Proficiency in supervising kitchen staff, resolving operational issues efficiently under pressure, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Aramark is committed to career development and offers comprehensive training and leadership development programs, inclusive of online learning platforms. This ensures that the Food and Beverage Manager will have ample opportunities to expand their knowledge, refine skills, and advance their career within a supportive corporate culture. For those seeking internship or student opportunities, Aramark also provides structured programs designed to offer meaningful work experience and potential career pathways.

In summary, joining Aramark as a Food and Beverage Manager means becoming part of a globally respected company that values innovation, diversity, and personal growth.
