Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, this management position involves overseeing every aspect of operations including financial performance, guest service quality, team development, cleanliness, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the business units under their care to achieve exceptional financial results by monitoring revenue streams, managing costs, and optimizing inventory control. In addition, this role demands a proactive leader who actively engages with team members and guests through "Management by walking around," thereby cultivating strong relationships and gaining valuable insights into daily operational challenges.

The Food and Beverage Manager leads their teams by setting clear standards, enforcing policies consistently, and demonstrating exemplary conduct. Beyond daily operational management, this role involves mentoring staff, supporting succession planning, and coaching team members to build talent and enhance overall team performance. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including those specific to the park, is a critical responsibility, as is maintaining top health department inspection scores. This role also doubles as the Park Duty Manager when required, underscoring the importance of leadership presence and quick decision-making during operational hours.

Ideal candidates for this position will have a bachelor's degree in management or a related field, plus several years of experience in food and beverage operations within multi-unit or theme park settings. They possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and are adept at balancing multiple priorities while fostering collaboration across departments. Technical proficiency with tools like Microsoft Word and Excel, along with certification in ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Alcohol, further supports their capability to manage diverse operational aspects.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience managing large teams

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Practice management by walking around daily to engage with employees and guests
  • Responsible for the overall successful operation of assigned food and beverage locations
  • Ensure the highest quality in execution and maintain a culture of continual improvement
  • Lead financial performance efforts to meet or exceed revenue and profit targets
  • Manage inventory to ensure quality, accuracy, timely delivery, safety, proper storage, and cost control
  • Supervise all team members to deliver high-quality and entertaining guest experiences
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to discuss operations and improve efficiencies
  • Build talent through mentoring, delegating, goal setting, and coaching
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local, and park regulations
  • Ensure passing all health and safety inspections
  • Serve as Park Duty Manager when required
  • Enforce all department and park policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
