Job Description
Outback Steakhouse is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain known for its Australian-themed menu and warm, welcoming environment. Founded in 1988, Outback Steakhouse has grown to become a leader in the restaurant industry, offering a variety of signature dishes such as the Bloomin' Onion and hand-cut steaks. The company prides itself on providing an authentic dining experience that blends high-quality food with exceptional customer service in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. As part of the Bloomin' Brands family, Outback Steakhouse is committed to fostering a culture that values diversity, career development, and community involvement.
The Food and Beverage Manager role at Outback Steakhouse is a dynamic leadership position central to the daily success of the restaurant. This full-time position requires a high-energy individual capable of skillfully managing both the front of house and back of house operations. The Food and Beverage Manager ensures that every guest receives world-class hospitality by maintaining top-tier presentation, professional standards, and operational excellence. This includes overseeing safety protocols, staffing, training, and compliance with health regulations, which are critical to sustaining a safe and inviting environment. The manager also handles guest feedback with a positive and proactive attitude, transforming first-time visitors into loyal patrons.
This position goes beyond operational responsibilities by embodying the brand's "No Rules, Just Right" spirit, fostering a team-oriented workplace where employees, known as "Outbackers," feel valued and motivated. The manager is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and mentoring team members, helping them achieve growth within their careers. Additionally, this role involves community engagement and marketing activities to elevate Outback’s presence locally. Competitive compensation is offered, which includes a base pay that varies by location plus performance-based bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans as well as 401k retirement savings options. The Food and Beverage Manager position requires availability for diverse work schedules, including nights and weekends, to meet the operational demands of the restaurant environment. Candidates with prior experience managing full-service restaurant operations and bar management, as well as current food safety certification, are preferred and will have a strong advantage in fulfilling the role effectively.
