The Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) role at Wawa is an integral management position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the store. This role involves working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations that emphasize freshness, efficiency, and a superior customer-focused experience. The Food & Beverage Manager will take full ownership of the food and beverage programs, including fresh food preparation, grab-and-go meals, beverages, catering options, and other related services.
Key responsibilities include driving food service sales by achieving performance goals while maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency. The FBM monitors market trends and collaborates with peers to implement strategic action plans that optimize results and maximize customer satisfaction. This individual becomes the in-store expert on food programs, current promotions, and marketing initiatives to further support the store's success.
Additionally, the Food & Beverage Manager serves as a trainer and motivator for Customer Service Associates, helping to build their proficiency and encouraging outstanding customer service delivery. The role supports hiring, scheduling, training, and broader team development, including recognizing excellent performance and fostering career growth among team members.
Operational duties include maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting food service area that complies with all health and safety regulations. The FBM also oversees inventory management, ordering supplies, and equipment upkeep to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.40 - $31.55, based on experience, position, and location, with eligibility for monthly bonus incentives.
