Job Description
CrossAmerica Partners is a prominent operator of convenience stores and a retail distributor of motor fuels with a significant presence across 34 states in the United States. The company plays a crucial role in providing essential fuel and convenience products that keep people moving throughout America. With a commitment to being an industry leader, CrossAmerica Partners focuses on delivering quality offerings while maintaining a responsible, people-centered approach that prioritizes the well-being of its employees, customers, and the environment. This dedication to operational excellence and community responsibility has helped the company build a robust network of locations and grow its reputation in the highly competitive convenience retail sector.
The role of Food & Beverage Manager at CrossAmerica Partners is a dynamic and integral position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all food service and beverage programs within a designated site facility. This position demands a hands-on leader who is actively involved in both the leadership and operational aspects of food and beverage management. The Food & Beverage Manager supervises branded food offerings, such as those under national fast-food franchises, as well as proprietary food programs unique to the company. Ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and meeting operational goals are pivotal responsibilities of this role.
This manager is tasked with leading and motivating a food service team to deliver outstanding customer experiences, guaranteeing that all staff are well-informed about the food programs offered. Regular performance evaluations and staff development activities are also critical components of the role. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for managing food and beverage inventory, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries, and controlling food cost and labor budgets to sustain profitability. Maintaining high-quality standards through consistent product quality checks and adherence to portion sizes and presentation adds to the responsibilities.
Customer service and quality assurance are key areas of focus, requiring the manager to promptly address any customer concerns and implement rigorous cleanliness and hygiene practices in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Operational efficiency is supported by overseeing staffing levels, supporting food preparation and serving duties when necessary, and ensuring the food and beverage areas are fully operational during peak times.
Health and safety compliance is strictly enforced under this role, with the manager ensuring food handling, preparation, serving, and storage meet all safety standards. The role also requires administrative duties, including maintaining accurate records of inventory, sales, staffing schedules, and operational issues. Weekly reports detailing operational performance are prepared for upper management, providing transparency and accountability.
Physical demands are considerable, involving extended periods of standing, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, bending, squatting, and walking throughout the store. The Food & Beverage Manager must also remain flexible to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, and be prepared for emergency and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
CrossAmerica Partners offers a competitive compensation package with an hourly rate of $21.00 for Subway Manager positions, and for the Food & Beverage Manager, an attractive benefits program that includes health insurance, vacation, holiday pay, 401K with employer match, and more. Both full-time and part-time employees enjoy a range of benefits suited to their employment status. The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals, ensuring a fair and supportive workplace environment.
