This job position is for a leadership role within the restaurant division of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. The role involves creating an exciting, innovative, and memorable dining experience by leading a knowledgeable and well-trained front-of-house team. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure that every guest receives top-notch service, guided by staff who are well-versed in service etiquette and product knowledge. The individual will be responsible for daily evaluation of restaurant service performance, coordinating timely food production, and participating actively in evaluating food product quality and kitchen staff performance to maintain the high standard expected at Kimpton.

Further responsibilities include developing strategic selection and pricing of liquors and wines, supervising their procurement, and assisting the General Manager in annual financial planning and budget preparation. This leadership role also involves executing and enhancing marketing plans, managing operational standards, and focusing on cost control particularly with food sales and payroll expenses. A significant part of the position involves staff development through timely evaluations, training programs, and fostering an open communication channel between management and employees. The role ensures that the restaurant environment remains pristine and well-maintained internally and externally, aligning with the brand’s commitment to excellence.

Qualified candidates must possess at least two years of management experience in hospitality or a related industry, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, or Culinary Management. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, coupled with a passion for personalizing guest experiences. Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. The company champions diversity and inclusion, welcoming employees from all walks of life and ensuring an environment where differences are celebrated and embraced. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand that not only values exceptional service but also prioritizes a fun and lively work culture where employees can truly be themselves and make a real impact.
