Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a renowned full-service restaurant specializing in American cuisine, famous for its delicious steaks, fresh seafood, and iconic Bloomin' Onion appetizer. Established as part of the Bloomin' Brands family, Outback Steakhouse has built a strong reputation for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and the unique "No Rules, Just Right" spirit that makes every dining experience memorable. The restaurant chain operates across multiple locations, serving millions of guests annually with a commitment to high quality food, exceptional service, and vibrant customer engagement. Outback Steakhouse continuously strives to create a positive work environment where team members, or "Outbackers," feel valued, motivated, and empowered.

The Food and Beverage Manager position at Outback Steakhouse is a dynamic leadership role integral to the restaurant's daily success. As the heartbeat of daily operations, the Food and Beverage Manager oversees both the Front of House and Back of House teams to guarantee a seamless and world-class guest experience. This role requires a balance of technical expertise in restaurant management—such as staffing, safety protocols, inventory control, and regulatory compliance—with creative hospitality skills that foster an inviting and upbeat atmosphere. The individual in this position champions the core values of Outback Steakhouse's signature culture, ensuring every guest and employee feels the brand's unique spirit passionate about delivering outstanding service.

Key responsibilities include directing the restaurant's daily flow, maintaining presentation and professional standards, managing recruitment, interviewing and training to build and sustain a high-performing team, and mentoring hourly staff to support their career growth. A strong leader in this role also assures a safe dining and working environment by adhering to strict health department regulations and safety protocols. Resolving guest feedback efficiently and graciously is crucial, transforming first-time visitors into loyal customers. Mastering the menu and operational prep standards ensures that every menu item meets the company's quality expectations. Representing the Outback brand within the local community through marketing and engagement efforts further strengthens the restaurant's connection with its guests and the broader market.

Outback Steakhouse seeks a Food and Beverage Manager who is at least 21 years old, has a minimum of one year in a restaurant leadership role, and is adaptable to a diverse schedule including nights and weekends. While prior experience managing full-service restaurants and bar operations is preferred, so is current food safety certification and proficiency with basic office software. The position may require relocation within the region, reflecting the company's commitment to operational excellence across locations.

This is a full-time role offering competitive base pay that varies by location, plus performance-based bonus potential. Candidates also receive comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement savings options, and other benefits. Outback Steakhouse is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. If you are a motivated, high-energy leader passionate about hospitality and forging a rewarding career in restaurant management while making a difference for guests and team members alike, this is an ideal opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding brand.
