Job Description

Wawa, Inc. is a renowned and beloved convenience store and food service company, well known for its commitment to quality, community, and customer service excellence. Established in 1964, Wawa operates more than 900 locations across the East Coast of the United States, becoming a trusted destination for fresh food, coffee, fuel, and essential convenience goods. With a strong ethos centered around community involvement and associate ownership, Wawa fosters an inclusive and supportive environment that empowers its employees to deliver exceptional experiences to customers every day. Wawa stands out in the retail and food service industry by championing innovation, quality, and a customer-centric approach rooted in the belief that a smile, a hoagie, or a great experience can make life better.

As a Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa, you play a crucial leadership role by overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations within a Wawa store. This position is pivotal in ensuring that food quality, safety, and customer experience remain consistent and outstanding. Working closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, the FBM helps drive the store’s success by leading programs related to fresh food, grab-and-go meals, beverages, catering, and other culinary initiatives. You will spearhead efforts to maintain high-quality standards, optimize sales performance, implement marketing and promotional strategies, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

This role requires a talented manager who can inspire and train food service associates while managing day-to-day operational necessities such as inventory control, equipment maintenance, and team scheduling. As a key leader, you will foster a high-energy, customer-focused atmosphere that values teamwork, learning, and continuous improvement. Your strong leadership skills will help build associate proficiency, engagement, and motivation, ultimately driving sales and creating memorable customer experiences.

In addition to operational leadership, the Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting food service environment. Wawa’s commitment to health and safety standards ensures that every customer receives fresh and excellent food offerings in line with all regulatory guidelines. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.70 to $28.40, commensurate with experience and location, and includes eligibility for monthly bonus incentives.

Joining Wawa means becoming part of a winning team where your efforts and contributions directly impact the community and the company’s growth. The company’s inclusive culture and outstanding benefits package—featuring medical, dental, vision, mental health benefits, ESOP, 401(k) with matching, education assistance, paid time off, paid parental leave, and wellness programs—reflect its dedication to supporting associates financially, physically, and emotionally. Wawa promotes equal opportunity employment and is committed to maintaining a respectful and discrimination-free work environment. If you’re driven to lead a dynamic food service team and interested in growing a rewarding career with Wawa, this role invites you to soar to new professional heights with a company that truly values its associates.
