With a track record of managing some of the most reputable hotels, CUSA, LLC places strong emphasis on exceptional guest service, valuing their associates as invaluable assets, and delivering consistent value to their business partners and owners. Their dedication to quality and a supportive work environment has made them a leader in the hospitality sector. Currently, CUSA, LLC is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Food and Beverage Manager for the Courtyard Tuscaloosa Bistro, a 40-seat lobby restaurant complemented by an 8-seat lobby bar. This role offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a team that prides itself on delivering high standards of service and operational excellence within the Marriott brand hotel framework.
The Food and Beverage Manager position at the Courtyard Tuscaloosa Bistro is vital for overseeing the daily management and operations of the food and beverage outlet. This role requires a strong understanding of safe food service practices, along with expertise in managing food, beverage, and labor costs effectively. The manager will be responsible for supervising 5-7 bistro associates, ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant and lobby bar while adhering to state, local, and company regulations. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as working shifts will vary in response to hotel occupancy levels. This position demands a highly organized individual with a proven ability to control costs, perform inventory management, schedule efficiently, and maintain exceptional standards in both food and beverage service.
An essential requirement for this role includes obtaining ServSafe certification and the Alabama State beverage service certificate, reflecting the necessity for compliance and professionalism in food safety and alcohol service. Additionally, the manager will play a crucial role in staff training, supervision, and disciplinary procedures, ensuring that associates are well-prepared to meet the service standards that define the Marriott brand experience. This role also involves hands-on participation in line shifts to provide direct support for labor and cost controls, menu cost analysis, and pricing strategies for the restaurant and any catering services. The Food and Beverage Manager will be a key contributor to the overall guest satisfaction and profitability of the outlet, making this a dynamic and rewarding leadership position within CUSA, LLC’s hotel portfolio.
