Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • Two years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Knowledge of applicable food and beverage laws and regulations
  • Strong budgeting and financial management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and employee engagement

Job Qualifications

  • Skill in conflict resolution and problem solving

Job Duties

  • Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments
  • Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations
  • Utilizes budgets to understand financial objectives
  • Manages the Food and Beverage departments excluding catering sales
  • Supervises and manages employees and daily operations
  • Oversees all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations
  • Creates and nurtures a motivating and empowering work environment emphasizing teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Provides excellent customer service and responds proactively to guest and employee concerns
  • Sets service expectations for guests internally and externally
  • Takes ownership of guest complaints until resolved
  • Verifies banquet functions meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Provides coaching and counseling to team members
  • Leads physiological and performance development including conducting performance reviews and promoting fairness
  • Complies with corporate accounting procedures
  • Drives effective communication via meetings and logs
  • Analyzes information to solve problems effectively
  • Provides leadership, vision and prioritizes departmental goals
  • Sets clear expectations and rewards for employees
  • Ensures daily operations meet quality and service standards
