Ameswell is a well-established company operating in the hospitality industry, specializing in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to its guests. Located in Mountain View, California, Ameswell is renowned for its commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and employees. As a full-time employer offering a competitive annual salary of $75,000, Ameswell fosters a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement within its food and beverage department.
The Food & Beverage Manager at Ameswell plays a critical role in the success of the company by overseeing day-to-day operations across all food and beverage outlets. This position requires a dynamic professional who balances operational oversight with leadership and culture-building responsibilities. The manager is responsible for ensuring that every guest interaction, whether a simple morning coffee or an elaborate dinner service, aligns with the Ameswell standard of excellence. This role is integral to motivating and energizing the team while consistently delivering an outstanding guest experience. As a key player in the management team, the Food & Beverage Manager will collaborate closely with staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, inventory management, and customer service.
In addition to managing daily operations such as ordering supplies, conducting stand-up meetings, and supervising shifts, the Food & Beverage Manager is expected to foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. This role involves strategic planning and execution, setting specific goals, prioritizing tasks, and addressing both successes and failures constructively. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating cleaning programs, identifying areas for improvement, and maintaining compliance with all food and beverage policies and standards.
Customer service is paramount in this role, requiring the manager to serve as a role model, handle guest concerns proactively, and maintain a positive and approachable demeanor. The Food & Beverage Manager must be well-versed in analyzing guest satisfaction results and responding promptly to requests from the customer service department. Additional duties include communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers, problem-solving, understanding financial documents such as budgets and payroll, and performing hands-on work when necessary.
Candidates for this role should possess a high school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in food and beverage or related fields. Alternatively, a two-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with at least one year of experience is acceptable. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications is required, and familiarity with software like Toast PMS, OpenTable, and Paychex is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be highly responsible and reliable, and able to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work cohesively as part of a team and prioritize guest needs with calmness and courtesy is essential.
Ameswell also offers comprehensive benefits, including 401(k) plans with matching, medical, dental and vision insurance, employee discounts, paid time off, and more, supporting the well-being and professional growth of its employees.
