DSRT Surf is an innovative and fast-growing hospitality and lifestyle brand that offers a unique combination of hospitality, recreation, entertainment, and guest experience. Located in Palm Desert, California, the brand is redefining the traditional hospitality model by creating an energizing environment where guests can enjoy exceptional food and beverage services alongside lifestyle and entertainment amenities. DSRT Surf is currently in the development phase, operating on an active construction site as it prepares for opening. This dynamic environment presents a rare opportunity for passionate, hands-on individuals to meaningfully contribute to building an extraordinary guest experience from the ground up.

The Food & Beverage Manager role at DSRT Surf is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all front-of-house food and beverage operations across the property. This includes ensuring high standards of service execution at bars, lounges, cabanas, and guest dining experiences. The Manager will be instrumental in managing staffing, training, and daily operational performance to maintain exceptional hospitality standards and boost guest satisfaction. They will also play a key role in driving revenue growth by enhancing operational efficiency, monitoring sales, supporting strategic beverage programs, and managing cost controls.

This role demands a seasoned leader with a passion for service excellence, team development, and running seamless food and beverage operations in a fast-paced environment. The Food & Beverage Manager is expected to lead by example, promoting a culture of professionalism, accountability, and hospitality. They will be responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching a diverse team including bartenders, servers, hosts, and supervisors, ensuring every team member is aligned with DSRT Surf’s service expectations and company policies.

Beyond operational management, this position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments such as Events, Marketing, Guest Experience, and Operations to support large-scale events, private functions, and special activations. The ideal candidate is someone who can maintain composure under pressure, solve problems proactively, and inspire a positive, energetic working atmosphere while embodying the brand’s unique spirit and enthusiasm.

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with an anticipated annual salary range of $75,000 to $85,000. In addition to competitive compensation, DSRT Surf offers valuable benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. The role requires physical stamina to work on-site in an active and evolving construction environment, handling tasks that demand mobility and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and during special events is essential.

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of food and beverage management or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of front of house restaurant, bar, resort, or hospitality operations
  • Experience leading guest facing teams in fast paced environments
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service, food safety, and hospitality best practices
  • Experience with scheduling, labor management, POS systems, and inventory controls
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions focused in high volume environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across departments

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily front of house food and beverage operations across all outlets
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards across bars, lounges, cabanas, and guest dining areas
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and service quality throughout all food and beverage locations
  • Lead daily shift execution, opening procedures, closing procedures, and operational readiness
  • Ensure all guest facing areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and presentation ready
  • Support a fun, energetic, and hospitality driven atmosphere throughout the property
  • Drive food and beverage revenue through exceptional guest service and operational execution
