Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- minimum four years of experience in restaurant management
- experience in hiring, training, and supervising staff
- knowledge of payroll, reporting and time and attendance policies
- ability to manage food and beverage purchasing and inventory
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- ability to handle guest complaints and conflict resolution
- flexibility to work varied hours including some weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Four years of experience in hiring, training, supervision, forecasting, budget preparation, and cost control in food and labor
- four years of experience in food preparation and restaurant management
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- leadership and team management abilities
- problem-solving skills
- coaching and mentoring experience
- knowledge of food and beverage operations and standards
Job Duties
- Utilize proper protective equipment as required and in accordance with property guidelines
- provide services above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention
- use interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage team members
- encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
- improve service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, maintaining quality standards, providing guidance, feedback and coaching
- identify developmental needs of others and provide mentoring and coaching
- supervise and manage team members and day-to-day food and beverage operations
- administer payroll edits, reporting and time and attendance policies
- provide guidance and direction to subordinates including setting performance standards and completing evaluations
- analyze information and evaluate results to solve problems
- maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, and department policies
- professionally handle complaints, disputes, grievances, and conflicts
- interview candidates and make hiring recommendations
- purchase food and beverage items following company policies
- ensure proper cash handling and tip payout procedures
- assist other team members and departments for overall performance
- attend banquet event order meetings
- oversee and supervise banquet events
- perform other duties as assigned by management
