The Food and Beverage/Events Manager role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department and event functions. The individual in this position will lead and manage staff to ensure that superior menu items and services are consistently delivered to guests, creating memorable dining and event experiences. As a Food and Beverage/Events Manager, you will play an integral role in the seamless coordination of events and guest activities, ensuring all functions meet established guest service standards. This involves collaborating with multiple departments such as sales for group room blocks coordination, maintenance for equipment functionality, and marketing to support promotional efforts for the restaurants. You will monitor product quality, food preparation consistency, and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards, including adhering to regulations surrounding alcoholic beverage service.

The role also demands effective people management skills including interviewing, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates, ensuring their performance aligns with hotel standards and core company values. Inventory management is another critical aspect, requiring documentation, forecasting, and monitoring of supplies such as linen, glassware, silverware, and condiments to guarantee uninterrupted service excellence. Job Requirements

  • Prior management experience in restaurants required

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in food and beverage outlets, ensuring food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared according to recipe and to guest specifications
  • Work collaboratively with sales team to ensure coordination of group room blocks
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates
  • Visually inspect and take action to ensure the appearance of facilities is appealing and attractive to guests
  • Coordinate details of events for meeting rooms, food & beverage and A/V requirements
  • Effectively deal with internal and external customers with a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order
  • Participate in marketing efforts of the restaurants as directed
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet
  • Document inventory, forecast usage and monitor supply so restaurants are adequately stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china, condiments, in order to provide service
  • Abide by all regulations and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
