The General Manager role at Legends Global entails comprehensive oversight and profitable management of all daily operations within a venue, including concessions, catering, and premium services. This leadership position demands a commitment to maintaining the company’s high standards for quality and performance in food and beverage operations while continuously innovating the guest experience. The ideal candidate expertly balances creativity with pragmatic execution, manages operational budgets including monthly P&L statements, and maintains strong client and partner relations. They lead and develop the venue’s management team, fostering talent, supporting promotions from within, and handling performance management. Responsibilities also encompass developing fiscally sound operational budgets, overseeing monthly inventory across departments, and ensuring compliance with all legal and company regulations related to alcohol sales, OSHA, payroll, employment, and EEO guidelines. The General Manager works closely with sub-contractors to ensure adherence to contract terms and operational standards, handles financial reporting, and undertakes additional duties as required. This role is pivotal in driving excellence in operations while guaranteeing customer satisfaction, profitability, and safety within the venue environment. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5-7 years of management experience in contract foodservice industry
- Experience in high volume foodservice settings
- Ability to manage budgets and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to lead and manage teams
- Capability to work extended and flexible hours
- Knowledge of safety and compliance requirements
- Previous experience in sports or entertainment venue foodservice preferred
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years management experience in the contract foodservice industry
- Experience in high volume foodservice accounts preferably in sports or entertainment venues
- Proven ability to oversee the sale of alcohol and compliance with related regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and POS systems
- Leadership and management skills with demonstrated initiative
- Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience preferred
- Ability to work extended hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience working in high volume catering preferred
- Strong commitment to customer and client service excellence
- Knowledge of safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Job Duties
- Upholding Legends' standards for quality and performance in all phases of the food and beverage operations
- Constantly innovating the guest experience including food, service, and communications
- Managing the operational budget and monthly P&L statements
- Maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships with the client and business partners
- Overseeing management team including talent development, coaching, and performance management
- Developing yearly operational budgets including product levels and pricing
- Overseeing monthly inventory for all departments
- Preparing and submitting financial reporting and monthly projections
- Coordinating with multiple sub-contractors to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Ensuring unit compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations including alcohol sale and OSHA
- Performing additional duties as required
