Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its diverse portfolio of brands. One of its distinguished brands, AC Hotels, embodies a seamless blend of sophisticated design, meticulous attention to detail, and authentic hospitality. Located at 1260 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, California, AC Hotels offers an inspiring environment where guests enjoy an elegant atmosphere paired with impeccable service. The hotel prides itself on a culture of inclusiveness, diversity, and continuous learning, aiming to foster a workplace where every employee can thrive and express their best self.
The role of a Guest Service Expert at AC Hotels is crucial in shaping a memorable and unique experience for every guest. Unlike traditional food service roles, this position involves proactive customer service combined with various behind-the-scenes duties such as setting tables, assisting in kitchen operations, cleaning work areas, and restocking supplies. As an essential part of the hospitality team, the Guest Service Expert ensures that all services contribute seamlessly to the overall guest experience.
This non-management, full-time position is based on-site and offers a competitive pay range of $18.80 to $23.50 per hour, inclusive of tip eligibility. The role requires individuals who can maintain a professional appearance and communication style while adhering to company safety guidelines and protocols. Physical stamina is important as the job involves standing, walking, bending, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and moving across potentially uneven or slippery surfaces throughout shifts.
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent such as a General Educational Development certificate and, although prior food service experience is not mandatory, it is considered a valuable asset. AC Hotels encourages a positive and energetic work ethic where employees actively engage with the guests, manage multiple operational tasks efficiently, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Marriott International is dedicated to equal opportunity employment and values a diverse workforce that reflects the rich blend of cultures and talents of its associates. The company promotes an inclusive work environment free from discrimination, supporting applicants with varying backgrounds, including those with criminal histories, in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Joining AC Hotels means becoming part of a global family passionate about excellence in hospitality. Employees are encouraged to be curious, stay current with trends in art, technology, and design, and always seek ways to enhance the guest service experience. If you thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to delivering top-tier service with a personal touch, this role offers a promising path to grow your career within one of the world’s leading hotel brands.
