The company operates with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and community engagement, aiming to make shopping both joyful and convenient for its guests. Target fosters an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and skill development, providing team members with opportunities to grow and build meaningful careers.

Specifically, the Food & Beverage department at Target plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests enjoy a consistent and high-quality shopping experience when purchasing food-related items. This department manages everything from product freshness, stock availability, pricing accuracy, and promotional signage to food safety and presentation. The Food & Beverage team oversees all operations involved in replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety compliance, and merchandising to meet the expectations of Target’s guests.

Working as a Food & Beverage Expert at Target means immersing yourself in a fast-paced, physically active environment where teamwork and flexibility are essential. No two days are alike, giving employees the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills and adapt to varying operational needs. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to adult beverages, handling food deliveries, organizing backroom inventory, identifying and managing damaged or expired products, and using technology tools for efficient operations.

Ideal candidates for this role are enthusiastic about guest interaction and enjoy working in a highly active and collaborative setting. While prior food or grocery experience is preferred, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training is provided. Candidates should be prepared for varied working hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. This role demands physical stamina to handle merchandise weighing up to 44 pounds, work in diverse temperature conditions, and use equipment safely.

Target values ethical conduct, safety, and compliance in all aspects of work. The company offers a range of competitive benefits designed to promote well-being, financial security, and career advancement. Food & Beverage Experts are not only expected to contribute operationally but also create a welcoming shopping environment by greeting guests and assisting them with their needs, enhancing the overall customer experience at Target.
