Job Requirements

  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
  • Climb up and down ladders
  • Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to work in temperature ranges from 34F to -10F
  • Work in environments with common allergens
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of the shift
  • Comply with federal, state and local adult beverage laws
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest questions quickly
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage guests effectively

Job Duties

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and full shopping experience
  • Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
  • Understand how operational procedures impact shortage and profitability
  • Execute Food & Beverage processes including replenishment, stocking, zoning, in-stocks routines, culling, rotation, cleaning, item removal, signing and backstock
  • Execute fast-mover inventory by proactively managing items according to seasonality, ad transitions and demand
  • Follow all food safety requirements
  • Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
  • Partner with Direct Store Delivery distributors to maintain DSD POGs and backroom space
  • Locate and handle damaged, recalled or expired items
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests authentically
  • Observe guest cues to tailor assistance
  • Engage with guests to understand their needs
  • Be knowledgeable about store tools, products and services
  • Thank the guest genuinely
  • Execute all adult beverage laws applicable
  • Handle environmentally sensitive items properly
  • Use and care for protective equipment
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance culture
  • Work safely and correct hazards
  • Support guest services such as cashier backup and order pick up
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs
