Job Description

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is a renowned amusement park located in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, and is a proud member of the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation family, which operates over 40 unique and exciting properties. Established for more than 140 years, Dorney Park has been a premier destination for family entertainment, offering guests a wide variety of thrilling rides, water attractions, and themed dining experiences. With over 200 acres of fun, Dorney Park continually strives to create a safe, enjoyable, and memorable environment for visitors from all walks of life. The park is not only committed to providing outstanding entertainment but also to fostering a workplace culture that values teamwork, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Joining the Dorney Park team means you will be part of a dedicated group working together to deliver world-class dining experiences that guests can trust. The current opportunity is for a role that focuses on food safety and quality assurance within the park’s food service areas. This position offers $17.50 per hour and involves actively supporting the park's Food & Beverage department by conducting daily audits to ensure food safety standards are met and exceeded. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage Director to prepare detailed reports, including daily and weekly recaps, and recommend improvements that enhance both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities extend to providing thorough food safety training to associates, ensuring all maintenance and safety equipment meets operational standards, and acting as a liaison between the Foods Division and the Park Safety Department. This position also involves timely reporting of maintenance issues and unsafe conditions that could affect food or personal safety, including adherence to proper use and function of personal protective equipment.

Employees in this role participate in all scheduled and unscheduled Everclean audits to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in food preparation and service areas. The position also includes assisting with accident reports and formulating action plans to correct any deficiencies noted during audits. Beyond daily duties, the role offers opportunities for learning and professional growth within an exciting and dynamic environment.

Working at Dorney Park means enjoying a variety of perks designed to enhance the employee experience. Paid training ensures that team members are well-prepared, while free uniforms contribute to a professional and unified team appearance. Employees receive complimentary admission to Dorney Park and other affiliated properties, along with free tickets for friends and family, enabling them to enjoy the park's attractions at no cost. Additional benefits include 25% discounts on food and merchandise, access to local attraction tickets and discounts, and participation in exclusive employee-only events such as ride nights, game nights, and free food gatherings. Seasonal promotions offer further opportunities for advancement within the park’s diverse food and entertainment divisions.

This role requires a person who not only enjoys working in a lively environment but also values safety, teamwork, and effective communication. The park welcomes individuals enthusiastic about creating joyous experiences and lifelong memories for guests while building their own skills and careers in a supportive and vibrant setting.
