Job Description

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is a globally recognized leader in the amusement and entertainment industry, operating a collection of over 40 unique and exciting properties known for delivering unforgettable experiences to guests of all ages. One of their premier establishments, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, is located in the Lehigh Valley and occupies more than 200 acres filled with thrilling rides, attractions, and family-friendly entertainment. With a long-standing history of over 140 years, Dorney Park has built a reputation as a place where people can create lifelong memories while enjoying seasonal thrills and top-notch hospitality.

Joining the Dorney Park team means becoming part of a world-class hospitality operation dedicated to serving more than just food—you'll be delivering a trusted, exceptional dining experience that complements the park's variety of entertainment offerings. This role offers a dynamic work environment where every day presents opportunities to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds and ages, fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Team members are valued for their passion, safety commitment, and ability to foster positive guest experiences.

The position is hourly, offering $17.50 per hour, and it emphasizes comprehensive responsibilities centered around maintaining food safety, quality control, and operational excellence. Key to this role is conducting daily audits of food service areas, preparing detailed reports with the Food & Beverage Director that include recaps and process improvement recommendations, and acting promptly to address deficiencies while notifying management for follow-up. This proactive approach ensures that food service consistently meets the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Training and safety are pivotal components of the job, as associates need to provide food safety training to team members and report any maintenance concerns that might impact food or personal safety. This includes overseeing the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisors without delay. The role extends to collaborating closely with the Park Safety Department, acting as a liaison, and participating in scheduled and unscheduled Everclean audits designed to uphold cleanliness and safety standards across all food service areas.

Associates are expected to prepare corrective action plans based on audit results and always seek opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills, contributing to both personal growth and the continuous improvement of park operations. This role demands a diligent, safety-focused individual who is eager to learn and grow within a vibrant team setting.

In addition to professional development, the role offers numerous perks and benefits designed to enhance the working experience at Dorney Park. Paid training ensures new team members are well-prepared, while free uniforms reduce initial costs. Employees enjoy free admission not only to Dorney Park but also other affiliated properties, along with free tickets for friends and family. Discounts of 25 percent on food and merchandise further enhance the employee experience. The park fosters a multicultural workplace environment, welcoming people from near and far, and hosts various free employee-only events such as ride nights, game nights, and food events to build camaraderie and fun. Seasonal promotional opportunities provide avenues for career advancement within the organization.

By joining Dorney Park, associates become part of a storied tradition of entertainment and hospitality, contributing to a legacy that brings joy and excitement to millions. The position is suited for individuals with a genuine passion for guest service, a dedication to safety and quality, and an eagerness to work within a dynamic team committed to delivering excellence in every aspect of the park experience.
