Its mission is to be an employer of choice by fostering a work environment where employees are treated fairly and with genuine concern, encouraging growth and success for both staff and the organization.
We are currently hiring an experienced and energetic Food and Beverage Director at our Dallas, TX location to lead and operate Provider Contract Food Service operations efficiently. This leadership role demands overseeing all aspects of food service delivery, ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff performance, and maintaining operational excellence. The Food and Beverage Director will play a critical role in supervising hiring processes, staff training, performance evaluations, mentoring, and discipline to drive employee and store success. This position requires a proactive leader who can maintain high-quality service standards through rigorous internal controls such as employee engagement and quality control measures including temperature, portion weight, and delivery checks.
The Food and Beverage Director will manage scheduling and staffing to ensure optimal coverage and operational efficiency, foster positive communication among team members, and uphold company standards through personal example. Responsibilities include managing cash reconciliation, administrative tasks, compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining secure control over keys, alarm codes, and discount coupons. The role demands financial acumen as the director will be involved in budget preparation, financial analysis, and taking corrective measures to achieve financial goals. Regular attendance at Food and Beverage Director meetings and management meetings with assistant managers is expected, alongside conducting weekly operational reviews and documenting key operational concerns.
Additionally, this role requires oversight of maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of company assets including furniture, fixtures, equipment, buildings, and landscaping. The director will manage product ordering, menu planning, daily specials, and conduct quarterly roundtable and safety meetings. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a university setting, and hold a four-year college degree. Strong leadership, diversity appreciation, reliable transportation, and physical ability to perform job functions such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35 pounds are necessary. Candidates must have proven personal and financial management skills and basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with internet applications, Google Workspace, Slack, CBORD, and POS systems like Simphony. English communication skills are essential, with conversational Spanish considered a plus.
We offer a competitive salary range from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by quarterly bonus opportunities representing 10 to 20 percent of the annual salary. Benefits include a choice of medical and dental plans, vision coverage, employer-sponsored short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off starting from the first day of employment, a monthly dining card, and a three-week paid sabbatical. Preferred Hospitality is an E-Verify employer committed to maintaining a supportive workplace that rewards dedication and excellence.
