Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation and willingness to commute
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and carry up to 35 pounds
- Must have a proven track record of personal and financial management
- Subject to legal background check
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Conversational Spanish is a plus
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in a Food and Beverage Director role
- University setting experience preferred
- Four year college degree preferred
- Proven successful leadership and people skills with respect for diversity
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Familiarity with computer applications including Internet, Google Workspace, Slack, CBORD, Simphony, and POS systems
Job Duties
- Ensures proper hiring, orientation, training, evaluating, mentoring, and disciplining
- Consistently supervises, manages, and inspects all hourly employees
- Ensures guest satisfaction through internal controls and employee engagement
- Prioritizes employee, customer, and operational needs to address issues promptly
- Promotes positive open communication in a team environment
- Oversees personnel scheduling, shift cutbacks, and holiday planning
- Manages reconciliation of daily cash receipts and maintains administrative records
- Adheres to all governmental regulations and labor standards
- Supervises management at the store level and maintains interaction with all departments
- Establishes policies in alignment with Provider Contract Food Service
- Reviews and prepares the annual budget and monitors financial performance
- Conducts meetings with management and attends Food and Beverage Director meetings
- Oversees maintenance, repairs, and ordering of products and menu planning
- Holds quarterly roundtable and safety meetings
- Documents operational concerns in daily logs
