The Food and Beverage Director at Aramark plays a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies that meet the dining needs and preferences of customers. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing and organizing all aspects of dining services, ensuring a broad selection of prepared meals are available to satisfy diverse customer tastes. The role involves direct supervision, recruitment, and development of front-line personnel to build highly effective teams that drive operational excellence. The Food and Beverage Director works closely with other units to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a safe, sanitary environment across operations.

In addition to managing day-to-day food and beverage operations, the Food and Beverage Director is charged with monitoring the financial performance of the department by managing budgets, profit and loss reports, and cost controls focusing on food, beverage, and labor expenses. They are expected to boost profitability while maintaining adherence to the established Executional Framework and company policies. They must enforce strict compliance with safety, health, and wage regulations to maintain a secure environment for customers and staff.

A key part of the role is client relationship management, including identifying customer demands, facilitating effective communication of operational improvements, and sustaining productive client and customer rapport. The Food and Beverage Director is also involved in sales negotiations and contract discussions to explore new opportunities for increasing revenue and client retention.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities through coaching, motivating, and rewarding staff performance, all aimed at enhancing engagement and productivity. They will also implement and maintain frameworks for purchasing, inventory, cooking, food distribution, and menu innovation to support the client’s mission and vision, including environmentally conscious practices. Physical stamina is required to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

This position requires at least four years of relevant experience and at least one to three years in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory. Strong communication skills and the ability to foster mutually beneficial relationships with customers, clients, and internal teams are essential.   • Direct the operations concerning the production distribution and serving of food

  • Follow all appropriate policies regulations and statutes which entail safety health and hourly wage laws
  • Arrange and sustain frameworks and methods for the purchase acceptance warehousing cooking distribution and menu innovation of edibles
  • Create forecasts for operational components and discuss any variations Tasked with handling accounting duties related to these components
  • Ensure that the appropriate sanitation and safety measures are in place in relevant areas
  • Supervise and organize unit personnel in the coordination of production processes merchandising initiatives quality assurance measures cost containment strategies labor supervision and employee development
  • Enlist appoint foster and preserve front-line personnel
  • Implement scheduled inventory evaluations
  • Adhere to the guidelines of ARAMARK government entities and accreditation bodies when maintaining records
